LEADERSHIP

Kirk Spilman | President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Spilman has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to Pursuit, Mr. Spilman was the President and CEO of Stonegate Production Company, LLC. Before Stonegate, Mr. Spilman served as Regional Vice President – Eagle Ford at Marathon Oil Corp. where he was directly responsible for leading all aspects of Marathon’s Eagle Ford assets in South Texas. Over his 18-year career at Marathon, he held various other positions of increasing responsibility within planning, business development, operations and engineering in Marathon’s domestic and international upstream business. He began his career as a field engineer with Texaco Exploration & Production. Mr. Spilman graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering.

Scott Szalkowski | Senior Vice President, Resource Development

As Senior Vice President, Resource Development Mr. Szalkowski is responsible for all aspects of the subsurface function, including geology, reservoir engineering, on-going production operations, as well as business development for Pursuit. Prior to Pursuit, Mr. Szalkowski was SVP, Resource Development at Stonegate Production Company, LLC, which he joined in 2016. Previously, Mr. Szalkowski served as Director of Corporate Development (A&D) at Marathon Oil Corp. where he was involved in the commercial and technical appraisal of various assets. Over his 11-year career at Marathon, he held various other positions of increasing responsibility within Marathon’s South Texas, Bakken, Big Horn Basin and Cook Inlet asset teams. Mr. Szalkowski began his career as a geologist with ConocoPhillips in 2002. Mr. Szalkowski graduated from Lamar University with honors in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Master’s in Geology from Louisiana State University in 2003. Mr. Szalkowski also served in both the US Navy and US Naval reserves before pursuing his academic degrees.

Spencer Finch | Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Finch serves as Chief Financial Officer for Pursuit. He joined Pursuit in 2016 and most recently served as Vice President, Finance. Prior to Pursuit, Mr. Finch was a Senior Financial Analyst for Stonegate Production Company, LLC where he was actively involved in the firm’s finance and corporate development activities. He began his career in the Natural Resources Group at Nomura Securities where he evaluated and executed M&A transactions and capital markets financings across the energy sector. Mr. Finch graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Christian University where he earned a BBA in Finance with a Minor in Accounting.

Shubhanan Dakshindas | Vice President, Drilling and Completions

Mr. Dakshindas joined Pursuit in May of 2017 and serves as Vice President, Drilling and Completions. Prior to Pursuit, Mr. Dakshindas served as Drilling and Completions Manager in the Resource Play Technology Application organization for Marathon Oil Corp. where he and his team were responsible for introducing and implementing new drilling and completion technologies as well as providing technical support to drilling and completion organizations across Marathon’s entire portfolio of unconventional assets. Over his 11-year career at Marathon, Mr. Dakshindas held various other Drilling, Completion, Technology and HES positions working across various basins including the Eagle Ford, Mid Continent region, Gulf of Mexico and Wyoming. Prior to Marathon, Mr. Dakshindas held various positions at Schlumberger Oilfield Services for over 7 years working onshore as well as offshore. Mr. Dakshindas graduated from Penn State University in 1999 with a Masters in Petroleum Engineering and has a Bachelor in Petroleum Engineering from Maharashtra Institute of Technology in India.

Ryan Fitzpatrick | Vice President, Land

Ryan Fitzpatrick has served as Vice President, Land at Pursuit Oil & Gas, LLC since its inception in 2016 and is responsible for all aspects of the Land function. Prior to Pursuit, he served as Vice President, Land at Stonegate Production Company. Mr. Fitzpatrick was Mid-Continent Land Team Lead at Oxy USA Inc. from 2010 to 2013 and he began his career as a Land Negotiator at BP America in 2006. Mr. Fitzpatrick graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Commerce from Texas Tech University and a Master of Business Administration from Rice University.

Mr. Fitzpatrick was named a Forty Under 40 in Energy recipient in 2021 by Oil & Gas Investor Magazine and he currently serves as a member of the Rawls Advisory Council at Texas Tech University.

Raymond Tam | Vice President, Accounting

Mr. Tam serves as Vice President, Accounting for Pursuit, where he oversees all aspects of the Accounting and Financial Reporting functions. Prior to Pursuit, Mr. Tam was Controller, Financial and Management Reporting at Stonegate Production Company, LLC, where he led companywide accounting policies, financial reporting and analysis. Prior to Stonegate, Mr. Tam was a Senior Manager in Ernst & Young, LLP’s Transaction Advisory Services group, specializing in energy industry M&A and advising clients on both buy-side and sell-side transactions. Mr. Tam graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master in Professional Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.
